Description
Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based training that equips participants with the skills to identify, understand, and respond to mental health and substance use challenges.
Participants will learn:
- How to identify, understand, and respond to a mental health or substance use challenge.
- The risk factors and warning signs associated with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, schizophrenia, and other mental health conditions.
- The ALGEE 5-step action plan for supporting someone who may be developing a mental illness or experiencing a mental health crisis and connecting them with appropriate services.聽

This certified training is offered as part of the 2026 MUS Mental Health & Wellbeing Summit: Building Cultures of Care. Registration is free, but seating is limited. Individuals who register after the training reaches capacity will be placed on a waiting list.
