Biography
Shay Kidd loves teaching education courses and specifically those focused on mathematics education.聽Helping prepare future mathematics teachers at all levels helps to feed into his research interest of learning progression in mathematics.聽His goal in this research is to help future teachers better understand the misconceptions that students develop in mathematics, to source those misconceptions, and to prevent or fix the misconceptions.聽Apart from preparing future teachers, Shay Kidd helps in-service teachers improve their practice and his own.聽Improving face-to-face teaching and online teaching are part of these efforts with in-service teachers.
